If you’re bringing the kids along, they’ll go crazy for the snow cones. Coconuts is open every day except for Sunday, and they are located at 115 S. Gilmer St.
2. Mango’s
This locally owned venue is well-loved by the community. You’ll notice why as soon as you enter the store. The customer service is excellent and you’ll have many options to choose from. Try their milkshakes, which come in flavors such as mango, Nutella, Oreo, coconut, cookie dough, cookie monster, strawberry banana, and pistachio. Or choose the banana split, the Miss Jingle Bell, the vanilla sundae, the pina colada, or the Mangonada.
Mango’s is open every day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and you’ll find them at 214 S. Tennessee St.
3. Bruster’s
Bruster’s makes their treats fresh on a daily basis and the staff pride themselves on their creations. They have nearly three dozen flavors, so you might need a few minutes to decide, especially if you brought the whole family. Choices include your traditional favorites, like chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. Or go for birthday cake, butterscotch ripple, chocolate cherry chunk, chocolate chip cookie dough, cotton candy explosion, double chocolate chunk, or key lime pie.
Plus, they offer cake cones, waffle cones, sugar cones, bowls, and cups. They also have kids sundaes. And let’s not get started on the toppings you can choose from! If you have special requirements, they carry fat-free, sugar-free, and non-dairy options. Find them at 183 Cherokee Pl. They are open every day.
